Kolbe was raised in Pike County Kentucky where he learned the importance of family and the value of a hard day’s work.
He attended college at Morehead State University in Morehead, Kentucky from 2007 through 2011, where he received a Bachelor’s Degree of the Arts in Government with a Minor in Business Administration.
Upon graduating from Morehead State University, Kolbe began his legal studies at the Appalachian School of Law in Grundy, Virginia. He attended ASL from 2011 through 2014. During his law school career Kolbe interned with the Honorable Judge Larry E. Thompson, Pike County Circuit Court Judge, Family Division as well as an internship with the West Virginia Public Defenders Association.
Since graduation from law school, Kolbe has worked in many areas of the law in numerous eastern Kentucky counties. He is proud of his eastern Kentucky roots and enjoys being a helping hand to those in need. He has been an attorney with Salyer Law Office since October of 2015.
Kolbe shares his home in Pikeville, Kentucky with his wife of one year, Brittni.
